Jan 8th, 2017(Nyamilepedia)Â —- Receiving reports on Taban Deng’s returns from Yei, excited, president Salva Kiir has promised to visit Yei in a few weeks from now.
Briefing the Council of Ministers on Friday, January 6th, President Salva Kiir, who warned that he will leader military operations to crush rebellion in Yei River State, has now promised to visit the people of Yei.

According to Hon. Michael Makuei, the troubled South Sudan president is expected to visit Yet river state in February.
Kiir expressed his readiness to visit Yet but the exact date for the visit is not yet fixed.
He made the confirmation following a report by Taban Deng Gai, who claimed that President Salva Kiir has been invitted by the people of Yei River State.
“The people of Two and especially the churches had invited president Salva to visit them in February and H.E president has accepted to visit Yet,” Makuei told Journalists.
Yei River State has been the heart of violence for the last one year as the people of Yei resists Salva Kiir leading on grievance of poor leadership, land grabbing and Dinka cattle vandalism, destroying their farms and livelihood.
Yei River state has lost many politicians and military generals to ribellion including a recently appointed Deputy Government, former Commissioner and some ministers from the current government who have now defected to SPLM/A(IO).
In other reports, the former Governor of Western Equatoria State, Gen. Joseph Bakosoro, who currently resides in USA, has formed a new rebellion to operates in South Sudan.
Hon. Bakosoro, who was sacked and jailed on December 22nd 2015 and spent at least four months in prison, moved to USA following his release; however, whether he will return to South Sudan to lead his rebel movement remains to be seen.
