Rebel faction send delegates for talk with government in Juba

August 6th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – A splinter group of the South Sudan United Front/Army (SSUF/A) has dispatched a delegation to South Sudan’s capital Juba for talk with government of South Sudan, a spokesman for the group said.

The group calling itself SSUF/A peace wing said the five-men delegation will negotiate with the government the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement and discuss issues pertaining to the future of the group under the 2018 peace agreement.

A South Sudan United Front/Army (SSUF/A) Peace Wing delegation [is] going to Juba and negotiate with the government,” partly read a statement signed by the group’s spokesman, Lt. Gen. Garang Achiec Bol Agiu and extended to Nyamilepedia.

According to the statement, the delegation is led by Lt. Gen. Zachariah Monyjiek Baguoot Kiir, the group’s deputy Chairman and Commander-in-Chief and who will be accompanied by Maj. Gen. Emmanuel Malual Ater Wecnyin, and Brig. Gen. Atak Duang Tong Duang both of whom are senior members of the splinter group.

Brig. Gen. Paulino Akoon Yel Dut, the group’s spokesman, and Col. Garang Agany Ateny Angony, the secretary of public relations will also be part of the delegation.
