Oct 10, 2020(Nyamilepedia) — The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader, Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, today hosted a delegation of Kikuyu council of elders at his late father’s home in Bondo, Siaya County.
The elders, led by Former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth were received by their Luo-Nyanza counterparts in what was said to be a formal meeting to install the handshake partner as President Uhuru Kenyatta’s successor.
The former MP was officially installed as an Agikuyu cultural ambassador two weeks ago.
It is already hinted out that Peter Kenneth is likely going to be Raila Odinga’s running mate in 2022 presidential race.
Kenneth arrived at Kango Na Jaramogi in Bondo to make Raila endorsement plan successful.
Peter Kenneth was to be introduced to the people of Bondo during the function that he is right behind Raila’s 2022 Statehouse bid.
With almost two years remaining before general elections, Raila seems to be starting early this time around, and he doesn’t seems to be taking any chances.
Odinga, who will be banking on the vote-rich central Kenya to help him get into the Statehouse, appreciated the good gesture from Mount Kenya saying him and Ida Odinga have appreciated the “hand of friendship”
“The building of a great nation starts at the individual level, how we relate and interact with those around us; then it’s extrapolated countrywide. Mama Ida and I hosted a delegation of elders from the Mt Kenya region who offered us a hand of friendship that we gladly accepted.” Raila said.
