12, March 2017 (Nyamilepedia) — South Sudan’s calls for National Prayers has ended up in a new disaster after a Priest is found dead on Juba-Yei road.

According to reports received by Nyamilepedia from Yei, government soldiers loyal to President Salva kiir kidnapped the Priest from Yei town then tortured their captive, killed him and dumped his body on Juba-Yei road just two days after the National Day of prayer held in juba in which President Silva Kiir called for repentance and forgiveness.

Reverend Simon Kwajie who was the main Priest in All Saints and Matyrs church was kidnapped on the 5th of March by security forces described by witnesses as speaking in Dinka language. The security forces told the priest they just wanted to talk to him about something.

Rev Kwajie’s was badly tortured with his whole body showing bruises, he was killed and then dumped by the security forces on the Juba-Yei road only to be found by civilians who were passing by.

According to close friends and family, Kwajie was kidnapped abut 5 days ago, since then he was not heard from, many thought the army wanted his help but never did they think they would torture him and killed him.

“…this is really a total shock, how do you kidnap and torture and murder a priest? a church leader we murder?…I thought the president said it was time for peace?…this is more than abomination” said Joseph Taban, a citizen from Juba who had attended the National Day of Prayers called by Kiir.

Rev Simon Kwajie’s torture and murder has sent shockwaves across Yei and South Sudan in general just two days after President Kiir pleaded for forgiveness and repentance saying it was time for South Sudanese to make peace.

“I humbly repent and ask for your loving mercy and forgiveness.”  President Kiir said during the National day of prayers taking many by surprise.

However the Catholic Archbishop of South Sudan Bishop Paulino Lokudu had warned President Silva Kiir that his prayers was a dangerous prayer if he could not be able to fulfil what he said after he repent.

May His Soul rest in Peace. The prayer is really dangerous for Kiir and his team, he is near the end.
