Oct 25, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— Larco Lomayat, a presidential journalist in the office of President Salva Kiir, calls on South Sudan nationals back home to eat healthy and exercise regularly.

Greetings his fans from Kampala, Uganda, where he had access to world class gym, Larco advises that safe sports and exercises is good because it strengthen musculoskeletal system and reduce extra weight.

“The next time you hear the words sports and fitness, consider that physical activity through safe sports and exercises will strengthen your musculoskeletal system and reduce extra weight. The real benefit: your joints will become more stable and you’ll be less likely to have bleeds and pain.” Larco advises.

“Playing sports helps you stay in shape, teaches you how to organize your time, boosts friendships, and builds relationships with your peers and adults. Through athletics, you gain skills that can best be acquired on a court, track, or field.” He continued.

Although rarely accessible and only available to elites in Salva Kiir government, who can afford to travel to neighboring countries and overseas, Larco tells South Sudanese that participating in sports would improve individuals’ health in many ways.

“To be a good athlete, you must take care of yourself. This gets you thinking about what to eat and how to treat your body to achieve peak performance levels.” Larco.

“Some of the health benefits of playing sports include the efficient functioning of the heart, controlled diabetes, lower cholesterol levels, improved blood circulation, lower hypertension, and lower stress levels. It helps in weight management, the toning of muscles and the strengthening of bones. It also brings positive energy, discipline, and helps in building self-esteem and mutual respect.” He continued.

Although Larco, a South Sudanese-American who has access to many privileges, was right in his own terms, his advise pissed off many of his supporters who care more of how South Sudanese are struggling to find something to eat, not how to lose weigh.

“What a jerk. Gym is the least thing you want to tell to people. Poor photo guy. Community college education fits.” A friend, Charles Lugala Enosa responds.

“Walai! Very funny ? I can’t even imagined officials like LLarco Lomayatadvising South Sudanese what to eat when people don’t have anything to eat. While you are for photo shoots at the gym, traveling different countries and sleeping in expensive hotels using state resources, many people around the country eat leaves and roots of trees to survive.” Abaha Simon said.

Unlike many other journalists, Larco and his colleagues who work in president Salva Kiir office, have right of expression, however, not on many things affecting the country.

South Sudan returned to conflict in 2013. Within the last three years, more than 2 millions South Sudanese are displaced from their homes into refugee camps within the country and also to the neighboring countries. The conflict has claimed over 100 hundred thousand lives and left many properties and installations destroyed.
