Presidential Affairs Nhial Deng Meets Uhuru Kenyatta outside Nairobi

Sep 22, 2020(Nyamilepedia) — The Kenyan Cabinet Secretary Hon. Rachelle Omamo, received Hon Nhial Deng Nhial and other dignitaries today at Moi International Airport in Kenya.

The other officials include HE Amb Beatrice K. Wani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The Presidential Affairs Minister, Hon. Nhial, was sent to Kenya to meet and brief president Uhuru Kenyatta.

Kenyatta commended president Kiir and the people of South Sudan for the progress they have made so far.

“I commend my brother President Salva Kiir and people of South Sudan for the positive steps they have taken to ensure the transition period begins on a firm foundation,” President Uhuru said.

The Kenyan President met Hon. Nhial Deng and his delegation outside Nairobi. They met at the State House in Mombasa.

Uhuru believes that a little progress has been made but a lot more remains to be done.

He urged Hon. Nhial to advise president Kiir to reconstitute a Revitalized Transitional Legislative Assembly (TNLA) and ensure that security arrangements are implemented.

The Kenyan leader also spoke about the Sudanese peace process that is being mediated in South Sudan and also commended the progress made so far.
