President Kiir’s Message to Muslim Community in South Sudan.

Juba, South Sudan,

July 21, 2021 — South Sudan’s President, Salva Kiir Mayardit has conveyed his message to Muslims in South Sudan yesterday on Eid Al Adha.

In a statement obtained by Nyamilepedia, President Kiir passes his sincere seasonal greetings to all Muslims on their cheerful day.

” As we all join our Muslim brothers and sisters in expressing our joy and commemorating Eid al Adha, let us collectively praise Allah for his immense blessings in our lives, including by reflecting on the very meaning of this holiest day of sacrifices while pondering on our long walk toward freedom”, statement reads.

Kiir called on people of South Sudan to embrace one another and live together in peaceful coexistence.

” Not only does the sacred day of Eid Al Adha call us to adore the Almighty, it also challenges us to embrace one another, while living in peace and harmony, as our National Anthem benefittingly proclaims”, he added in a statement.

He urges citizens to make the country peaceful and prosperous for all irrespective of religious diversity.

“As we dedicate ourselves to Allah, let us also pledge to make South Sudan a peaceful and a prosperous country for all her citizens and believers of all faith as well as to put hands together in implementing the provisions of the signed accord of Khartoum Peace Agreement.

” Yes, our full devotion to Allah and keenness to our fundamental principles should challenge us to Faithfully implement the Revitalized Peace Agreement, live in social harmony, ensure security for all in our national borders and foster shared prosperity”, Kiir emphasized.
