April 2nd 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – Preparations are under way for a soon-to-be meeting between South Sudan President, Salva Kiir Mayardiit, and his Sudanese counterparts, Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir, in Juba, accordng to a senior South Sudan government official.
Presidential Advisor on Security, Tutkew Gatluak, who met President Al-Bashir on Saturday in the Sudanese capital Khartoum said preparations for a meeting in Juba between President Kiir and his Sudanese counterparts Omar Al-Bashir are underway.
“We are making these preparations between President Salva Kiir Mayardiit and his brother Omar Al-Bashir, President of the Republic of the Sudan. This meeting will take place soon in South Sudan in Juba,” he told reporters during statements to the press after meeting Al-Bashir.Â
He reiterated the support of the government and people South Sudan for President Al Bashir who is fighting “against conspiracies and foreign intervention.”
