October 12th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – The leader of the South Sudan’s of exiled politicians known as the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement Former Detainees (SPLM-FDs) Pagan Amum Okiech did not authorized the surprise Juba visit by Deng a Alor Kuol, the group’s chief negotiator according to a senior FDs official.

Deng Alor who is a former South Sudan Foreign Minister surprised the media on Wednesday when he appeared at Juba International Airport in an unannounced surprise trip to the nation’s capital Juba.

Alor told reporters upon arrival that he is in Juba for the first meeting of the pre-transitional committee formed by President Kiir month following a meeting with opposition groups, including FD, in Khartoum last month.
The committee was set to conduct it’s first ever meeting in the Sudanese capital Khartoum between 14 and 15 October but has been postponed to the week after.

Speaking to the Nyamilepedia on Friday, senior former detainees official told the Nyamilepedia that Pagan, the leader of the exiled politicians, did not authorized Deng Alor to travel to Juba for whatever reason

“Hon. Deng Alor was not authorized by the leader Pagan Amum Okiech. Pagan has no any knowledge about why Deng went to Juba and actually he did not consult the leadership at the highest level,” the official told the Nyamilepedia on the condition of anonymity.

He said Deng’s decision to go to Juba alone without the involvement of other armed and no named opposition groups fighting president Salva Kiir is a breach of confidence between the opposition groups.

“This violate the spirit of togetherness and confidence between the opposition itself. We sort to have a single stance in the past and we agreed to do so. So what Deng is doing today is in contradiction to what we have agreed upon,” the official said.

He further added that the opposition gours had conditioned Kiir to lift the state of emergency, release political detainees and political prisoners but it is not yet met by Kiir and with this we should not go to Juba,” the official added.
