March 24th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – A holdout opposition alliance, the National Alliance for Democracy And Freedom Action, (NADAFA), said on Friday that it will use all the available legitimate means to remove President Salva Kiir from power if his government fail to accept to a new peace mechanism.

The holdout opposition consortium led by Dr. Hakim Dario said in a statement extended to the Nyamilepedia on Thursday that the regional and the international community should compel President Kiir to accept the renegotiation of the peace agreement to include other parties to the ongoing conflict and to address the root causes of the conflict.

The statement by the alliance come almost a week after the Independent Boundary Commission (IBC) requested the people of South Sudan to submit their opinions on how many states should be there in South Sudan.

“In the event the Government of President Salva Kiir fails to cooperate with the new peace process, the UN and international community should impose sanctions and consequences on the JCE regime, declaring it a pariah state without a legitimate government,” it said.

“NADAFA and allied forces and peoples of South Sudan would use all legitimate means to remove the JCE regime from power and protect the people of South Sudan from its atrocious human rights abuses, which it had continued to commit with impunity,” it added.
