October 16th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – A prominent South Sudan opposition leader has denied reports that Kenyan security members prevented them from conducting a meeting in the Kenyan capital Nairobi.

General Oyai Deng Ajak, a senior member of the Real-SPLM led by former SPLM Secretary-General Pagan Amum told the Nyamilepedia on Tuesday from Nairobi that reports that they were prevented to conduct a meeting by the Kenyan security service was not true.

“No its not true,” Ajak who was South Sudan’s army chief said. “We weren’t prevented from conducting any meeting.”

Ajak last month told the Nyamilepedia that signatories of the Hague meeting were preparing to conduct a follow-up meeting but did not mention a venue for it saying the meeting will discuss the outcome of the Hague meeting conducted in September.

He further said the meeting “will be conducted anytime either at the end of October or in the early November.”
