November 14th 2018 (Nyamilepwdia) – The SPLM/A-IO Acting Governor of Yei River State has issued a provisional order, relieving Hon. Edward Rambo Michael from his position as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Food Security in the state, and replaced him with Wayi Godwill Bizi, the SPLM/A-IO Spokesperson for Yei River State.
“In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Leadership in a Letter dated 21“ October 20l8 in which H.E Dr Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon, Chairman and Commander-in-Chief of the SPLM/A (IO) assigned me as the Acting Governor of Yei River State and in consultation with the State Leadership. I Col. Sam Mawa Milton do hereby relieving Hon. Rambo Michael from his role as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs with immediate effect,” partly read the statement seen by the Nyamilepedia.
In the same gubernatorial order, the acting Governor in the state appointed Godwill to take over the roles of humanitarian operations in the area.
The SPLM/A-IO acting Governor of Yei River State was appointed last month, by the Chairman and Commander-in-Chief of the main opposition group, Dr. Riek Machar shortly following the suspension of his predecessor Frank Matata, who was laid off from his office on account of alleged corruption scandal.
