Oil production resumes in Unity state’s Toor

June 1st 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – Oil production in South Sudan’s Toor in Unity state has resumed after more than five years shutdown following the outbreak of civil war in December 2013.

The country’s oil minister Amb. Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth launched the production in the northern site on Thursday.

The resumption of oil production in Toor adds  five thousand (5,000) barrels of output per day and pushing overall production to one hundred and eighty thousand (180,000) barrels per day in entire unity state oilfields.

South Sudan government last month In early May, the government put total production at around 175,000 barrels per day and said the figure should rise by seventy thousand (70,000) by June.
