Nov 17, 2020(Nyamilepedia) — In what they hope to improve transparency and accountability in the government, South Sudan’s Revenue authority meets president Salva Kiir to report 6the revenue they have collected so far.
According to the press office of President Salva Kiir, the president met with the Deputy Commissioner-General of the National Revenue Authority Africano Mande in his Office today.
In his remarks to the media after the meeting, Africano Mande said “it is important to report the collection of revenue to the top leadership as well as concerned institutions for transparency which he believes would improve the economy of the Country.”
The Deputy Commissioner-General briefed President Kiir on the Revenue collection of the hard currency and digitizing the revenue collection.
Mande came to leadership recently to deputize a foreign Commissioner-General, Dr. Patrick Mugoya, who is a Tanzania national, to help reduce corruption and malpractices in the top financial institution in the country.
