Newly appointed Eastern Lakes county commissioners sworn in

February 15th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – The newly appointed county commissioners of Eastern Lakes state have been sworn in today by the state governor, Gen. Mangar Buong.

On Monday governor Buong appointed James Adut Makoi as commissioner of Yirol North County, Philip Kordit Mabor for Yirol East, David Manyiel Lueth for Awerial Central, Micheal Panachuol Achol for Awerial East and captain Jacob Adut Nhial for Anuol County.

Judge Peter Ngok administered the swearing in ceremony in the presence of the governor in Yirol town.

According to a spokesman for the Eastern Lakes governor, in the attendance also were the deputy governor, as well as the Speaker of the State Transitional Legislative Assembly (ELSTLA).

Speaking during the swearing in ceremony, newly appointed Yirol North Commissioner, James Adut Makoi thanked the governor for appointing them and entrusting them with serving the people of Lakes.

“We congratulate Hon. Governor of ELS, Yirol, for entrusting us with power to lead our people,” he said  reiterating their commitment to stand firm with Governor and the cause of their appointments.

For his part,  governor Buong said congratulated the newly appointed commissioners wishing them to “to translate your appointments into what SPLM leadership will desire.”
