December 27th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – A new building of South Sudan’s only television, the South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC), is under construction and will be completed in 2020, information minister Michael Makuei said.
Speaking to Nyamilepedia on phone from the capital Juba on Friday, Makuei said the new building is expected to host different sections of the SSBC and would symbolize the government’s effort in delivering services to the people of South Sudan.
“Yes the new building for the national TV is under construction and it will be ready for use before he end of next year,” Makuei who also is also the government spokesman said.
“This is part of the effort[s] by His Excellency the president of the Republic of South Sudan to deliver services to the people of the Republic of South Sudan,” he added.
The new building, Makuei said, will serve as the general headquarters if the SSBC and will house a number of studios of the government-ran media station.
