July 11, 2021 – The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) has inaugurated a new secretariat in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.
The event was attended by the Minister of Presidential Affairs Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin who represented President Salva Kiir as the guest of honor.
The inauguration was also witnessed by Tong Akeen Ngor, State SPLM Interim Chairperson, John Oriem, Representative of SPLM National Secretariat, Simon Machuar, Representative of SPLM National Youth League Office, State Liberation Council members and Senior SPLM members, Youth League members, Women’s League members, chiefs, representatives of other political parties and the general public.
Addressing the gathering during the occasion, Mr. Akeen thanked Salva Kiir Mayardit, the SPLM Chairman for delegating Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin to officially inaugurate the new SPLM House. Akeen assured SPLM leadership of his commitment to keeping the party steadfast and promised to deliver services to the people of Northern Bhar El Ghazal State.
In his remarks to the members of the party during the inaugural event, Marial expressed his gratitude to the SPLM leadership and the general public for the reception from the State SPLM members.
Marial revealed that Kiir could not grace the event due to busy schedules that have taken him up.
