The two signed the agreement in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa as part of IGAD effort to try to bring ro an end the ongoing civil war in the world’s youngest nation.

In a brief statement issued on Tuesday, the SPLM-IO governor of Imatong state Nathaniel Pierino – who is also a part of the committee – said the committee has been inaugurated on Monday in the Sudanese capital.

He explained that one of the tasks vested upon the committee is to incorporate the agreement into South Sudan’s Transitional Constitution 2011 and other relevant acts.

“The committee shall incorporate the R-ARCSS into the constitution and review all relevant legislations and Acts; to make them conform to the provisions of the agreement,” he added.

South Sudan’s former First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon will travel to the South Sudanese capital Juba along with Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir to attend the October 30th peace celebrations planned by the government.
