September 2nd 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – The National Salvation Front (NAS) led by General Thomas Cirilo has denied any intention to sign the preliminary Khartoum peace deal signed by the South Sudan government on Tuesday and by the SPLM-IO on Thursday citing concerns over the number of states and the permanent constitution-making mechanism.

Socia media rumors alleged on Sunday that the NAS has accepted to sign the preliminary peace deal after assurance from the Sudanese mediation that their concerns will be referred to the IGAD Council of Ministers for deliberation after the parties failed to agree last week on some issues including the number of the states.

Speaking to the Nyamilepedia on Sunday,  NAS spokesman Suba Samuel Manase denied the circulating rumors that the NAS has changed its positionto ordering valtrex 1gm sign the document.

“We have not changed any position as far as NAS is concerned. Our position is clear and we are not going to sign any agreement as per now,” he told the Nyamilepedia.

He said there is no guarantee that the regional Council of Ministers would deliberate on the issues given the intransigence by the government in Juba regarding the number of states.

The SPLM-IO and the South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) led by Changson Chang on Thursday decided to sign the agreement after the Khartoum mediation assured them that the outstanding issues will be referred to the IGAD summit for deliberation.

SPLM Former Detainees which signed the deal also later discarded their signature after the group’s leader Pagan Amum slammed Deng Alore for signing the agreement without prior consultation.
