March 31, 2022—South Sudan’s Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hon. Manawa Peter Gatkuoth returned from Senegalese capital, Dakar on Tuesday after successful seven-day mission, his Press Secretary Gattiek Wichar said.
Last Tuesday on 22nd, March 2022 Minister Gatkuoth and his accompanying delegation traveled to Senegalese capital Dakar in order to represent the country at World Water Forum.
Speaking to Nyamilepedia this morning, Mr. Gattiek Wichar, the Press Secretary in the office of Minister confirmed that Gatkuoth returned from Dakar on Tuesday 29th, March 2022.
“.. Hon. Minister Manawa Peter Gatkuoth returned from Senegalese capital Dakar on Tuesday evening along with his accompanying delegation”, Press Secretary Gattiek Wichar told Nyamilepedia from Juba, South Sudan this morning.
Wichar said Minister Gatkuoth had a number of meetings with his regional counterparts at World Water Forum where they discussed Water Cooperations.
“.. At World Water Forum Hon. Gatkuoth engaged in a bilateral and multilateral meetings with his counterparts in the region where they discussed the issues to do with water sustainability, water management and mechanisms by which clean water can achieved in their respective countries “, Mr. Wichar added.
According to Wichar the Minister’s mission was “successful” saying it had addressed all challenges facing citizens in the region especially in the field of agriculture, water and climate change and he also stressed that they adopted the resolution that would alleviate all shortcomings impeding the attainment of these very important benchmarks.
