Members of the NPTC meets Kiir over recent visit to Egypt

March 20th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – Members of the National Pre-Transitional Committee (NPTC) led by Hon. Tutkew Gatluak who is also the Presidential Adviser on Security, met on Wednesday with President Salva Kiir Mayardiit over its recent visit to the Egyptian capital Cairo.

The South Sudan Presidency said in a brief statement seen by the Nyamilepedia that the team briefed President Salva Kiir over its last week’s visit to Cairo, Egypt, where they met President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi over the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement signed last year.

The Presidency also added that the team briefed the President over its activities that has been ongoing since its establishment in September last year.

“The President of the Republic, H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit met this morning with the members of the National Pre-Transitional Committee lead by Hon. Tut Gatluak,” the Presidency statement seen by the Nyamilepedia partly read.

According to the statement, Hon. Tut said during a statement to the press, that the team “came to brief the President on the activities of the committee and their recent visit to Egypt where they met President Abdal Fatah Al Sisi.”
