Members of Pre-transitional Committee to visit states – presidency

March 26th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – Members of South Sudan’s National Pre-Transitional Committee (NPTC) on Tuesday expressed willingness to visit states to enlighten citizens on peace implementation, the presidency said today.

This development came shortly following a meeting between a team of the NPTC led by Tutkew Gatluak and President Salva Kiir Mayardiit.

The two members, according to a presidency statement, briefed President Salva Kiir on the peace implementation and their willingness to tour the states to enlighten citizens.

“Two senior members of the National Pre-Transitional Committee briefed President Salva Kiir Mayardit at the State House,” the Presidency said of Tut Gatluak and Angelina Ateny in a statement.  “The two senior members of the NPTC briefed the president on the ongoing process of the security arrangements as per the Revitalized Peace Agreement.”

The NPTC team further expressed its “willingness to tour the states to explain to the citizens more details about the Revitalized Peace Agreement.:
