Meeting of the Pre-transitional committee kicks off in Juba

November 6th, 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – The meeting of the Pre-transitional committee has been started in the capital Juba on Wednesday,  South Sudan’s Ministry of Information has announced.

In a statement by the Ministry of Information this afternoon, the meeting was also attended by members of the Troika, European Union as well as diplomatic corps in the country.

“The meeting was attended by the representatives of Troika,EU as well as the diplomatic corps in South Sudan,” the statement seen by the Nyamilepedia partly read.

According to the statement, the Chairperson of the pre-transitional committee and Presidential Advisor on Security Tutkew Gatluak reafirmed the parties commitment to the agreement.

“The Chairperson of NPTC Tut Gatluak who is also the presidential advisor on security Affairs reassured their commitment to address matters regarding pre-transitional period. Troika,EU,UNMISS and the members of the diplomatic corps have expressed their readiness to support the implementation of the Revitalized deal on the ground,” it added.
