September 16th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – The South Sudan United Front/Army (SSUF/A) said on Sunday that President Salva Kiir Mayardit and main armed opposition leader Dr. Riek Machar Teny are not serious about inclusion of other opposition groups in the peace process.
This comes less than a week after Kiir and Machar made a statement following a meeting in Juba in which they said they would world to include General Malong, the leader of SSUF/A, and General Thomas Cirilo , the NAS leader, in the peace process.
Speaking to Nyamilepedia on Sunday, a senior member of the SSUF/A told the Nyamilepedia from the Sudanese capital Khartoum that Kiir and Machar were not serious about the inclusion of other opposition groups in the process.
“Salva and Riek are not serious about including other opposition entities in the peace process,” the official said on the condition of anonymity. “You can see by yourself that even the parties which are part of the agreement have not say in its implementation.”
The official said if “those who are already signatories to the agreement are not considered in decision-making process over agreement, how are you going to include others who are yet to sign?”
“This is not a peace process this is a joke.”
