August 4, 2021 — The Chairman and Commander-In-Chief of South Sudan United Front /Army, (SSUF/A) Gen. Paul Malong Awan has appointed new officials including the spokesman for the movement.
This happens after the spokesman of SSUF/A, Chol Duang Chan resigned last month citing no reason but immediately returned to Juba.
In a statement extended to Nyamilepedia, the Chairman and Commander-In-Chief of SSUF/A, 1st. Lt. General Paul Malong Awan issued a statement appointing David Deng Chapath as the spokesperson of SSUF/A.
” In exercise of powers conferred upon me by article 20,3, 20, 4 and 20.7 of South Sudan United Front,Army (SSUF/A) ‘s constitution 2020 AD, I, Gen. Paul Malong Awan Anei, Chairman and Commander-In-Chief of South Sudan United Front /Army (SSUF/A) do hereby appoint Hon. David Deng Chapath as Information and Communication Secretary , South Sudan United Front/Army ” malong said.
The former Chief of Staff also appointed Abraham Garang Kuot as the spokesperson in the office of SSUF/A chairman.

In a separate statement, Gen. Malong also appointed Col. Akol Akol Pel as SSUF/A military spokesman and Maj. Philip Deng Kuol as Military Director of ICT and Media.
