July 17, 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan information minister Michael Makuei Lueth is reportedly not happy working with First Vice President and SPLM-IO Chairman Dr. Riek Machar Teny at the governance cluster.
South Sudan cabinet has been divided into clusters and among those clusters is the governance cluster head by the First Vice President and includes ministers of presidential affairs, cabinet affairs; foreign affairs, defense, interior; peace-building; justice, national security; parliamentary affairs; information, federal affairs; and East African Community affairs.
Since the formation of the revitalized unity government, information minister Michael Makuei Lueth has not spoken to the press because he was reportedly not happy to issue statements of a meeting chaired by SPLM-IO leader Dr. Riek Machar Teny.
One source said Makuei has instead tasked his deputy to take on his duties.
“The information minister is not happy working with Dr. Riek Machar in the cluster. He has instead entrusted his duties to his deputy who is the former governor of Boma state,” the government official told Nyamilepedia from Juba on condition of anonymity.
