May 12th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s main armed opposition group, SPLM-IO, led by the former First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny on Saturday called for calm between two feuding Nuer sections in Khartoum.
Last week, a fighting between Leek and Bul sections of the Nuer community let to the killings of at least fifteen (15) people but sources told the Nyamilepedia that the death toll has continued to rise as some are said to have succumbed to their wounds.
Speaking to the Nyamilepedia from the Sudanese capital Khartoum on Saturday, the SPLM-IO Director of Information and Public Relations Puok Both Baluang said it is very unfortunate to learn that two sections of the group are fighting generic lasix pill each other in Khartoum.
“It is very unfortunate to learn that there are two sections of the Nuer community that are fighting each other in Khartoum,” Both told the Nyamilepedia on phone from Khartoum.
He called on the Leek and Bul sections to avoid the further escalation of violence and sit down to solve what have led to the issue.
“We in the SPLM-IO would like to call on the clans involved to be calm and exercise restraint,” he said.
“We call on the Leek and Bul to cold down and give themselves the chance to talk so that anything that might have gone wrong is resolved through the dialogue rather than through violence,” he added.
