October 21st 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s main armed opposition leader Dr. Riek Machar Teny has returned to Khartoum, an opposition spokesman has confirmed.
Puok Both Baluang, the SPLM-IO director of information and public relations told the Nyamilepedia this afternoon that Machar left this afternoon accompanied by the SPLM-IO Secretary-General Tingo Peter and other senior opposition figures.
“The Chairman has just arrived in Khartoum thirty minutes ago,” Baluang said. “He was accompanied by the Secretary-General and other http://ugateamunited.com/online/aciphex/ members of the delegation.”
Baluang reiterated his party’s rejection to the government formation in November citing unimplemented pre-transitional tasks which must be in place before a government is formed according to the revitalized agreement signed last year.
“Our position is very clear, we will not be a party to the agreement unless the security arrangement is completed. The Chairman made it very clear before the UN Security Council that we will not participate in a government deemed to fail,” Baluang who has remains in Juba because their could not take off because of whether condition said.
“We want a genuine peace. We are not after positions,” he added.
