October 18th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s exiled opposition leader Dr. Riek Machar Teny will tomorrow return to Juba, an opposition spokesman allied to him said.
On Sunday, a delegation of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will travel to Juba to meet Kiir. The delegation will also meet with other signatories to the revitalized peace agreement including Machar’s SPLM-IO.
Speaking to Nyamilepedia this evening, the SPLM-IO director of information and public relations Puok Both Baluang said Machar has been invited and that he will travel to Juba tomorrow morning.
“Yes that’s true, the Chairman H.E Dr. Riek Machar Teny will travel to Juba,” Baluang said. “to take part in the upcoming meetings with the United Nations Security Council.”
Baluang further said the main armed opposition leader “will be accompanied by a high-level delegation of the movement,” as well as “senior Sudanese officials.”
