Machar address South Sudanese expatriates in Khartoum

June 28th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s prominent opposition and SPLM-IO leader Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon is addressing the South Sudanese expatriates in the Sudanese capital Khartoum following a signing of a permanent ceasefire agreement between him and the South Sudan’s incumbent, Salva Kiir Mayardiit.

Sources told the Nyamilepedia from Khartoum that Machar addressed the South Sudanese in a general mass enlightenment shortly after the signing of the ceasefire agreement in the Sudanese capital.

Machar and Kiir on Wednesday signed a ceasefire agreement that will come in to force within 72 hours after its signing and troops loyal to each would be confined to their curent position.

“Dr. Machar is addressing the South Sudanese people in the Sudanese capital Khartoum now after signing the ceasefire agreement with President Salva Kiir Mayardiit,” on source told the Nyamilepedia from the Sudanese capital Khartoum.

Another official told the Nyamilepedia that other details of the agreement will soon be made available very soon while the negotiation continues in the mean time.

“Other details of the agreement will be revealed to the public soon but the peace talks will continue between the parties,” he told the Nyamilepedia on the condition of anonymity

President Salva Kiir and Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon  are meeting for the second time in the Sudanese capital Khartoum after similar meeting in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa under the auspices of the Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed.
