Long-time serving Rubkona commissioner Salam Maluet removed, governor appoints successor

January 25th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s governor of Northern Liech State, Dr. Joseph Nguen Manytuil has dismissed the long-time serving Rubkona county commissioner Brig. Gen. Salam Maluet.

The degree, read out on the Bentiu Radio FM 99, also dismissed Tek Ruazeal as commissioner of Pawel County.

No reason has been cited for their removal.

According to the degree,  Kur Yach is the new Rubkona county commissioner and Chieng Dador has been appointed the new commissioner of Pawel county.

Rubkona is one of the former 9 counties of former Unity state. It was divided into three in 2016 after President Kiir decided to breakup the nation into 28 states in October the same year.

Salam Maluet has been the county commissioner since October 2013. He was briefly removed in 2016 before returning to the position in less than a month.
