July 11, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– At least two Lieutenant Generals have defected on Sunday from SPLA-J1, commanded by Gen. Salva Kiir and Gen. Paul Malong, to SPLA in opposition.

Among the defected generals are Lt. Gen. Charles Lam, Lt. Gen. Bol Kong, Gen. Taban Juch and other senior military officials, who have been loyal to Salva Kiir for the last 3 years.

While Lt. Gen. Bol Kong was the appointed Governor for Kiir’s Bieh State, Lt. Gen. Charles Lam was Kiir’s Division Three overall commander.

The troops of the defected generals escorted their leaders to UNMISS camp on Sunday and immediately seized Juba Internal Airport and attempted to take the army headquarters, Bilpham.

According to SPLM-IO spokesman, Manawa Peter Gatkuoth, the Governor of Bieh and his deputy ordering valtrex 500mg Gen. Alfred Taban Juch are now in UNMISS camp in Juba. Their soldiers remain in control of the streets near JIA, a few meters away from the UNMISS camp.

Other officials including the speaker of the state legislative assembly sought refuge in the UNMISS camp due to fear of their lives.

The senior generals said they decided to take refuge at the UNMISS camps because their houses have been tribally targetted by Salva Kiir’s SPLA forces.

Homes of civilians in Juba are also being attack along tribal lines by SPLA soldiers.

Other Nuer homes, who are loyal to Salva Kiir, including the home of Director General of External Security, Gen. Thomas Duoth Guet, have been targetted since Friday.

According to earlier reports, Gen. Duoth’s house has incurred two deaths during the Friday attack.

At least three Nuer officials loyal to president Salva Kiir are still missing since Friday attack.

So the naïve Nuers are finally defecting. I wont listen to those Nuers who think they are favored by Jaang. Thats like listening to a cat who grew up next to a dog and tried barking like a dog. How do you convince a cat that cats don’t bark but mews. And how do you convince a naïve Nuer that has at one time or another has surrendered all his or her rights of liberty to tribalist Jang who knows nothing about peaceful coexistence nor the sanctity of life.

This is a very timely and commendable defections. It’s absolutely high time to end the traitorous Dinka’s madness period
