Leaders announce new SSOA leadership under Josephine Lagu

July 6th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – Leaders of South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) opposed to Changson Chang have elected Josephine Lagu for a six-month tenure according to a statement extended to Nyamilepedia this morning.

Two days ago, six leaders of the opposition umbrella gave Changson, ex-chairman, and Denay Chagor, leader of SSUM previously led by General Gatdet, 24 hours ultimatum to renounce a statement issued by the two in which they declared Chagor as the new SSOA leader.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the SSOA faction under the leadership of Josephine Lagu decided to establish a leadership that would ran the affairs of the group for six months.

Lagu will be the leader for six months and deputized by Hussein Abdelbagi Akol. Dr. Lam Akol is now the Secretary-General of the group.
Governor Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro will be the head of External Relations committee.

General Bapiny Manytuil will be the head of Security Affairs and General Khalid Butrous will be the group’s financial official.
