June 29th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – The interim chairman of the South Sudan Opposition Alliance, Gabriel Chanson Lew Chang, said he extends his condolences to the SPLM-IO, family and friends of the late SPLM-IO governor of Bieh State Gen. Koang Rambang Chuol who died in Lankien last week.
“It has been saddening to learn of the untimely death at a younger age of our son and brother, SPLM-IO’s Governor of Bieh State and General of SPLA-IO, Koang Rambang Chol on 24thJune, 2018,” Changson who double as the Chairman of the Federal Democratic Party said in a statement extended to the Nyamilepedia.
The opposition leader said he shares sympathy with the main armed opposition group under the leadership of the country’s former First Vice-President Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon
“On behalf of Federal Democratic Party/South Sudan Armed Forces, FDP/SSAF and South Sudan Opposition Alliance, SSOA ’s memberships, I Gabriel Changson Chang as Chair and Interim Chair of the above mentioned liberation movements respectively,would therefore like to extend my sincere condolence to the Sudan People Liberation Movement/Army-In- Opposition, SPLM/A-IO, administration of Bieh State, Lou Nuer, the Nuer nation, people of South Sudan, friends and family of the Governor, General Koang Rambang Chol,” he said.
Changson urged all the people in the Bieh State to take heart as they all together sympathize.
“On the said sad news, I moreover urge all those in state of grief to take heart as we are obviously going to miss his warm presence in our midst, the good tidings he used to share with us and above all, his unwavering commitment to the cause of struggle which he left behind for us to continue advancing while he looks down from eternity,” the statement further said.
