March 11, 2022 —- Authorities in Unity State said the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed members of the State Legislative Assembly will take place today in Unity State Capital, Bentiu.
The Unity State Governor, Dr. Joseph Nguen Manytuil Wecjang, traveled to Bentiu yesterday in order to preside over the swearing-in ceremony in his capacity as the State Governor.
In a statement seen by Nyamilepedia, David Gai Jiejor, the State Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, said the swearing-in ceremony will take place today in Bentiu.
“.. In reference to above-mentioned subject, the Government of Unity State would like to seize this golden opportunity to formally alert the public through the State Ministry of Information and Communication that, the swearing-in ceremony for honorable members of State Transitional Legislative Assembly will commence on Friday eleven of March the year two thousand and twenty two (A.D)”, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports announced in a statement obtained by Nyamilepedia.
Gai, who doubles as the state’s Acting Minister of Information, said all people were warmly invited to witness the swearing-in ceremony of the newly reconstituted state assembly.
“.. Therefore you are all warmly invited to come and attend the swearing-in ceremony of your sons and daughters in the morning hours at State Transitional Legislative Assembly premise”, he added.
