April 4th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan President, Salva Kiir Mayardiit, has traveled to the neighboring Uganda’s Entebbe town to meet President Museveni over the slow reunification process of the ruling SPLM party.
Factions of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement which fractured in December 2013 signed in Tanzania in January 2015, the SPLM Reunification Accords, a road map for reunifying the former rebel movement.
This afternoon, the Presidential Press Secretary, Ateny Wek Ateny was quoted by the Eye Radio as saying: “The President of Uganda is recognizing the fact that the political crisis in South Sudan started within the SPLM and that’s why he believes that if the SPLM groups or factions come together, peace can be realized in the country.”
