Mar 13th 2018(Nyamilepdia) – South Sudan’s President, Salva Kiir Mayardiit, on Monday evening dismissed the country’s Finance Minister Stephen Dhieu Dau on according to a degree read-out on the state-owned SSBC.
In a separate degree, President Kiir replaced Mr. Dhieu with the former technical advisor in the Ministry of Trade and Investment Salvatore Garang Mabiordit Wol who hails from Kiir’s home-state of Warrap.
However, the degree given no reason for the dismissal of the minister.
Dau previously worked as the nation’s Minister of Petroleum and Mining as well as Minister of Trade and Industry before being appointed as the minister of finance in July 2016.
South Sudan is witnessing inflation as result of the ongoing civil war.
