February 14th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan President, Salva Kiir Mayardiit, has appointed a new military intelligence chief, two years fter the post remained vacant.
Kiir appointed Maj. Gen. Rin Tueny Mabor, former governor of Eastern Lakes state, as the new Director of Military Intelligence (MI) to succeed Gen. Marial Chinuong Nuor who was dismissed from the position by Kiir more than two years ago.
In September 2017, President Salva Kiir issued a Republican Order removing Gen. Marial Chinuong Nuor from the directorate of military intelligence and moved him to Foreign Service as third-grade ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Kiir did not made an immediate replacement.
