August 13th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardiit has met this afternoon with a delegation of American firm paid by the government to restore ties with the US government.
South Sudan government paid the US firm Gianful Solutions headed by former US ambassador to Kenya Michael Ranneberger $3.7 million to lobby for better ties with Trump Administration according to documents exposed in March.
“His Excellency Salva Kiir Mayardit discussed with the former American Ambassador to Kenya, Michael Ranneberger better mechanism in which GIANFUL SOLUTION would help bolster relationship between South Sudan and the United State[s],” a statement issued on Tuesday by South Sudan Presidency said.
According to the statement, the head of the US-based firm “reiterates that his current role with the team of retired Ambassadors from US is to rebuild the relationship between United States of America and South Sudan.”
