October 15, 2021—The Chairman of the ruling Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), President Salva Kiir Mayardit has named a new SPLM chapter Chairperson in Arab Republic of Egypt.
President Kiir, who doubles as the Chairman of the governing party SPLM, assigned Cde. Mary Karlino Madut as an interim SPLM chapter Chairperson in Egypt and advised her to work hard for the party interests.
” I am writing to confirm your appointment as an interim Chairperson of the SPLM Chapter in Egypt, based on power bestowed upon me by article 30, (5C) of SPLM constitution 2008 amended 2016″, Kiir appoints while citing his powers.
In a statement extended to Nyamilepedia, President Kiir also instructed Ms. Madut on what to do for SPLM in Egypt such as disseminating the SPLM programs and policies to the people.
” Your immediate duties including activities to promote the SPLM among our people in Egypt are ;
” Conduct SPLM membership registration and form interim offices in Egypt,
” Create Facebook and email account for sharing and disseminating information among members “, Kiir instructed in the statement of appointment.
Mr. Kiir urged the new chapter chairperson to mobilize a good number to support the SPLM in Egypt.
He also promised that the SPLM senior cadres will be sent to Egypt to preach the vision and mission of the SPLM in no time.
” A team from the SPLM National Secretariat will come to Egypt for training of cadres there”, he promised.
The SPLM mainstream is campaigning everywhere in order to maneuver their competitors such as the SPLM-IO under the First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny and other parties in and outside the country
