September 9th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan President, Salva Kiir Mayardiit and his Sudanese counterparts, Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir will tour all the contoversial thirty-two states in late September after the signing of the final peace deal in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, South Sudan Presidential Advisor on Security Tut Kew Gatluak told the Al-Intibaha on Saturday.
The Presidential Advisor told Al-Intibaha that the South Sudanese President will extend an invitation to the African heads of states and government to visit the young African nation to enlights South Sudanese citizens on the peace deal that is set to be signed in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
“President Salva Kiir will extebdnvitation to IGAD leaders to visit South Sudan after the agreement, especially President Bashir, during which he will visit with President Salva Kiir the southern states to reassure the people of South Sudan of the the launch of the peace train towards security, stability and sustainable development,” he said.
“President Salva Kiir and Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir will tour the Southern States after the signing ceremony of the final peace agreement in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia next weeek,” Gatluak told Al-Intibaha.
He praised President Bashir for being the first African head of state to convince the South Sudanese parties to sign a comprehensive peace agreement pointing out that Bashir’s visit to South Sudan is meant to convey congratulation to his citizens in his second country.
“Bashir is the first president on the African continent to be able to convince the parties to reach a comprehensive peace,” he further said.
It is not clear whether President Bashir will also visit the disputed region of Abyei as part of South Sudan peace tour.
