March 3rd 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan President, Salva Kiir Mayardiit, on Sunday cut short a regional tour to the country’s Bahr Al-Ghazal, a presidential envoy said on Sunday.
South Sudan Presidential Spokesman Ateny Wek Ateny said Kiir could not proceed to Aweil pointing to a surprise visit announced for Monday by the Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed.
“He could not proceed with the tour because of the visiting Ethiopian prime minister but he will return to Wau on Tuesday,” Ateny said.
South Sudan President was on a regional tour that is supposed to end with his visit to Lol state in the Bahr Al-Ghazal region.
