July 10th 2019 9 (Nyamilepedia) – Three South Sudanese nationals have been arrested in the Kenyan capital Nairobi after protests against the government of president Salva Kiir took place at the country’s embassy in Nairobi on Tuesday, 9th July 2019, members of the Red Card Movement told the Nyamilepedia on Wednesday.
One source said there has been reports that a plan to deport the three young men to Juba are underway saying it has now become a tradition for Kenya to deport opposition members critical of the government of president Salva Kiir Mayardiit that’s based in Juba.
“Three of our men are being detained and we have gathered reports that the government there (Kenya) are working with security operatives from South Sudan to deport all of them to Juba where they will be possibly tortured and maybe killed by the rustles regime of Salva,” the source said referring to President Salva Kiir Mayardiit.
“It has become a tradition for Kenya to deport and hand over South Sudanese to the government in Juba,” the source added.
He further added the detainees, which he identified as Makoi Majak, Anter Clement and Bol Bol, are registered with the UNHCR as refugees and the Kenyan government should respect their rights to seek protection from their government at home which they fear.
“They are all refugees they have refugee identity card and the government in Kenya should respect their right,” the source said.
