January 14th 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s main armed opposition leader Dr. Riek Machar Teny has arrived in the capital Juba for talk with President Salva Kiir over pending issues mainly the impasse on the number and boundaries of states, opposition figures said this afternoon.
Machar was accompanied by the deputy chairman of Sudan’s sovereignty council Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo and a number of aides.
“The Chairman and Commander in Chief H.E Dr. Riek Machar Teny has arrived in Juba moments ago,” Manawa Peter Gatkuoth Gual who is the deputy spokesman of the main armed opposition group told Nyamilepedia from Juba.
Manawa said Machar was at J1 meeting President Salva Kiir over the pending issues. He said the meeting is being attending by Gen. Daglo and South African Vice President who arrived in Juba a day early.
“Now, he is holding talks with president Kiir on the outstanding issues which are hampering the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement,” he said.
