June 20, 2021 – South Sudan Women’s Football Team captain and attacking midfielder for Juba Stars Football Club has joined Liberian women’s soccer outfit Determine Girls on a season-long contract.
The club says it will consider an option to extend the contract when it runs out within the stipulated period.
“We are delighted to announce that we have reached an agreement with South Sudanese Club Juba Super Star over the transfer of attacking midfielder Amy Lasu on a one-season transfer with an option to extend,” part of the statement seen by Nyamilepedia reads.
The attacking midfielder starred at the South Sudan Women’s Football League, the women’s top-flight tournament organized by the South Sudan Football Association backing eight goals for her side.
Born in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum, Amy grew up in the Kenyan capital Nairobi where she started her football career at the age of 7 and went on to play at a professional level while in Kenya.
Amy, who is still in Juba, is expected to arrive in Liberia soon according to the management of Determine Girls Football Club.
Determine Girls is a Liberia-based female football club that plays in the Liberia Football Association’s upper-division league in the Liberian football league. It was founded in 2005.
