July 10th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudanese citizens in the government state of Nothern Liech have commemorated the seventh independence anniversary despite cancellation from the national government over financial shortcomings.
The South Sudanese government announced last week that it is not commemorating the seventh anniversary of the country’s independence.
The spokesman of the Northern Liech government and the Minister of Information Lam Tungwar told the Nyamilepedia that the state government celebrated the seventh anniversary under the state deputy governor.
“Yes the deputy governor and other organs from the military, police and civil population celebrated the independent despite the cancellation from the national government,” Lam told the Nyamilepedia today.
According to Lam, the celebration was attended by the deputy governor, Laraka Machar Turoal, important government officials and Representative of the UNMISS.
“The celebration was attended by the deputy governor Brig.General. Laraka Machar Turoah and representatives of United Nations mission in South Sudan or UNMISS from the UN log base,” he told the Nyamilepedia.
