Sept 03, 2015(Nyamilepedia) — After meeting the former Vice President and the would be First Vice President of the Transitional Government of National Unity, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, President Alpha Omar Konare, the former President of Mali, has visited the capital of the war-torn South Sudan, Juba, yesterday to meet with President Salva Kiir and his leadership.
President Omar, a high level representative of the African Union, is leading AU senior officials who are working on the implementation of South Sudan Peace Agreement.
Their meeting with Dr. Machar in Addis Ababa on September 1st was mostly centered on the implementation of the agreement, and according to Dr. Riek, the meeting was “fruitful”.
“I met and held a fruitful meeting today with the former Mali President H.E Alpha Omar Konare, African union high representative to the republic of south Sudan, and other AU seniors officials regarding the implementation of the peace agreement .” Dr. Machar states on his timeline after the meeting.
Konare and his delegation arrived in Juba yesterday, and according to officials, the AU delegate is expected to meet with president Kiir today.
As part of the efforts to ensure successful implementation of the agreement, US Ambassador To South Sudan H.E Mary Catherine and her delegation also visited the armed Opposition leader, Machar, in Addis Ababa on September 1st.
United States as a partner and representative of IGAD and TROIKA, who funds South Sudan peace talks and also leads in the establishment of Hybrid Court, demands that the warring parties must implement the peace agreement as signed without preconditions or reservations.
Despite that war has continued in the three states of Greater Upper Nile after the signing of Compromise Peace Agreement, both sides pledge their commitment to implement the document.
The two principles have ordered a Permanent Ceasefire except in case of “self-defense”. As part of this commitment, SPLA generals on both sides are attending workshops in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, under the auspice of IGAD-Plus to boost their capacities to implement the permanent ceasefire declaration.

Go Dr Riek Machar. Go SPLM IO. South Sudan is in need of real leadership. They want change soon to come. IGAD should understand that this is the most important time of all when they should sacrifice everything and get the peace they want in south sudan. They should not sleep really untill the people of south sudan get peace because IGAD promised it will bring peace & the people rely on them. Invade south sudan if need be to bring peace.
Well, CPA II
Good news, first of all, I would like to say that, nothing wrong with peace agreement.
But, one thing I would like to share, Presdent Salva Kiir must be taken to the ICC Court without delay with his generals
Who kill Nuer people door door in night.
The country can not be lead by genocidal president in transitional period.
If the world fighting against terrorist!
Than what is the different
between Salva kiir who killed his own people with no reason?
Everything on this Planet the Earth need commitment under all circumstances, therefore I GAD,Strioka and AU all are expected to do any thing for achieving Peace and Stability that are lost in South Sudan society, finally God blesses you.

This peace is treated much like a cessation of hostilities by Juba where honoring it is not of a major concern. On the other hand Uganda would love Juba to violate the agreement as many time as possible in oder for the war to continue as to give M7 a reason to perlong his UPDF troop’s stay in South Sudan illegally. I support urgent sanctions agianst Juba. I also support a forceful withdraw of Uganda as a mechanism of implementing the agreement before it pages are shredded.
