June 28th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – Hotels in Juba are denying opposition delegates food and other services after complaining that they have not been paid by NPTC for months, an opposition official told the Nyamilepedia on Thursday.

Jacob Lado Paul, a spokesman to NAS factional leader, General Khalid Butrous Bora, said four hotels have been denying opposition delegates services for more than a week now threatening to end the accommodation if they are not paid by the NPTC.

“Hotels refuse[d] to serve clients who are lodging in their hotels and paid by management of National Pre – Transitional Committee (NPTC). They denied to serve occupants paid by NPTC with meals including water,” Lado, told the Nyamilepedia on Thursday.

“Dembesh and Landmark Hotels stopped giving services five to six days ago, World Focus international Hotel two days ago, Royal Hotel today,” he added.

According to him, a hotel manager threatened to end the accommodation if the NPTC fail to pay them their bills.

“…. one of the hotel managers, who claims their bills are overdue for over three months now, said they will lock their hotels doors to these occupants paid by NPTC,” he said.

He said most of the hotels affected by the absence of services includes those occupied by members of South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) saying they had been assured by a NPTC member that they will resolve the problem soon.

“Most of the hotels affected are occupied by members of South Sudan Opposition alliance (SSOA). But there is assurance from one of the NPTC co-chair that they are working hard to settle it tomorrow,” he said adding that “It looks like a temporary situation that will be resolved within short time
