Jan 13, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —- The former chief administrator of Pibor administrative area, and a leader of SSDM/A-Cobra faction, Gen. David Yau yau has finally handed over the leadership of his armed opposition to Maj. Gen. Paulino Zaangil of SPLM/SPLA-IO.
The move that was announced by Yau Yau in Juba as a dissolution of the party’s structures, as he (Yau yau) claims was a merging of his ranks with SPLM/A(IG), is considered by Paulino’s camp as a ‘surrender’.
Gen. Paulino, who broke away from cobra-faction’s mainstream in 2014 and announced his allegiance to the Country’s main armed opposition led by Dr. Riek Machar Teny accused Yauyau and president Kir of having dishonored the peace deal that was signed by the two parties of SSDM/A and South Sudan government.
During his defection, Gen. Paulino who defected as a colonel announced he was joining SPLM/A (IO) with a sizable force of cobra-faction. He disowned Gen. Yau yau and the rests of other generals in the ranks of SSDM/A cobra-faction and announced himself as a new commander.
Reacting to the recent announcement by David Yau yau, Gen. Paulino calls Yau Yau “a gumbler:
“I knew this gumbler was headed nowhere, he had no vision, he is an opportunist whose goal is just any salaried position anywhere with anybody”. Gen. Paulino told us.
He further said cobra-faction still exists:
“Although we’re in one boat with Dr. Riek Machar, cobra still exists and as the integration process is ongoing, incorporation process of our vision ‘to create a free federal and democratic republic of South Sudan is ongoing too”. Gen. Paulino narrated.
“Until all the two processes are done, cobra-faction shall exist”. He added.
Gen. Yau yau in companionship of Gen. James Kongkong Loden, and Gen. Khalid Boutrus Bora made an abrupt announcement of their allegiance to SPLM (IO) on Monday.

Cobra forces are still under the direct command of Gen. Paulino and in the boat with SPLA-IO forces period
Cobra Faction and the so called SPLM/A-IO are not in one boat in anyway, they are only the trouble makers that deceitfully interrupt South Sudan development opportunities, it is in one way or another that they are still existing at all corners of our states before their initial post scratch, Yau-yau is wise enough to desert your gang and join the democratically elected government under President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
