Gov’t summons Dutch ambassador to Juba over rebel meeting

August 31st 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan government on Friday summoned the Dutch ambassador to Juba Janet Alberda over rebel meeting in the Kingdom of Netherlands, sources with knowledge have told Nyamilepedia.

South Sudan opposition groups which are not part of the revitalized peace agreement signed in September last year have been meeting for two days in Hague, the Netherlands.

The two-day meeting ended Friday with the formation of a new opposition alliance known as United South Sudan Opposition Movements.

Speaking to Nyamilepedia Saturday afternoon, a source in Juba said Ambassador Alberda  was summoned by the ministry of foreign affairs and will appear there on Monday.

“Ambassador Robert van den Dool of the Kingdom of Netherlands has been summon and he will appear at the foreign ministry on Monday,” the source said.
